First trail of the year

It might be a little early, but what the hell...

What do you think the first trail you will ski this year will be? Are you going to hike for something or wait until the lifts open?

I expect my first run to be on T2 at Sunday River... I feel a cold coming on for opening day.

I'm hoping for whatever is first to open at Mt. Snow and there is a similar AZ gathering early November

Good idea I'll try that also. I hope that run is in Oct. I usually hike after the lifts close for the season, not so much prior. Depends on if I'm in the way of the snowmaking crew.

That's my plan as well. I certainly wouldn't mind starting on a well covered Chute like last year:
Mount Snow 11/12/07
I'm not sure if that was my first run, but it was definitely my most traveled run that day.

Probably Canyon-Standard if I hit Mount Snow. Or perhaps HBK if day one is at Hunter.

I think that in all likelihood, day one for me will be at Snow. I suspect they'll follow the same (non)grooming approach on Chute. Spongy bumps on day one rule!
