| Mt Snow 2005-03-26 Date(s) Skied: 2005-03-26 Resort or Ski Area: Mt. Snow Conditions: Crunchy early to slushy later Trip Report: We drove here, mainly because we had never been here and it was included in the Bronze pass. We met Skiracer there and scoped out much of the mountain. As we were driving up and saw the mountain, it looked very much like someone had taken Sugarloaf and squashed it down and stretched it out flatter. Their website did claim 70% blues. What a nice bunch of cruisers they had. Long wide trails, uncrowded for a Saturday. The locals said they were not so busy as Friday (Good Friday). Did I mention their trails are really wide? Very enjoyable for long high speed cruising. Plenty of room to pass, fifty foot spacing as you passed was often easliy come by. They groom this mountain quite a bit. Their clientele is from Connecticut and New York. They only have two high speed quads. But what we noticed is that their up hill capacity is very well matched by all the trails at the top of the lifts. Instead of a highspeed quad serving 3 trails (Re: the Jordan Bowl Quad at the River) the high speed quad seemd to serve a half dozen trails. So the crowds were naturally tinned out upon reaching the top. And then those big wide trails..... Throw in a beautiful sunny day, a tray of shrimp cocktails to finish off the day......
