| seven years old and its been 22 great seasons and counting since that time. It truly was a life transforming decision - not just for me personally, but really my entire family. Who would've guessed that an after school program at Ward Hill would contribute so greatly to the person I am today, the career I've chosen and most importantly probably the single greatest influence as to why my parents are still happily married after 40 years together. The following winter after I did the after school program, I introduced my parents and older brother to the sport. It rapidly became our family's past time and not just the immediate family - all my aunts, uncles, cousins etc, picked it up. At that time, my father was an investment banker who worked long hours and on the weekends, the family did very little together prior to picking up skiing, especially during the winter time. That all changed when my folks picked up the sport. As the saying goes, a family that plays together, stays together. I truly believe that and I can easily see my folks relationship not being as wonderful as it is today had they not learned to ski and had all the wonderful experiences together on snow that the sport has provided us. I couldn't imagine life without skiing and should I have a family someday myself, we will be a skiing family. |

| I started when I was 6. My father and uncle were part time instructors at Hunter. Our families had a house together there. We were there every weekend and school vacations. We have great memories from those days. |

| I started out my son just short of his second birthday, with his first lesson at Mohawk Mnt. He has progressed alot since taking lessons at Killington and Sugarloaf. Since my wife does not ski, I now have someone to enjoy skiing with and it's fun to watch his skills steadily improve.

| 5 or 6, on family trips twice a year to Colorado and New Mexico. We stopped going when I was probably 11, didn't start back until I was 30. Living in far eastern North Carolina wasn't conducive to a skiing habit...

| I started at the tender age of nine years old and boy was I stubborn. I 'fell in love' with the sport at about 11 or 12 and didn't really get good until about 18 or 19.
