ARRRRRGH!

It turned out to be a really bad accident, and I found out early enough to divert down 95 and take the GW. But still... ARRRRGH!

Well did you "beat" the ticket?

I have to fight one next week...not really fighting the cost, just the points....

Tappan Zee was closed? How could you tell? Traffic never moves on that thing, anyway.

I stay away from that thing like the plague. Turns out yesterday's closure was due to not only an accident but the fact that one of the drivers involved was set ablaze in the crash and he jumped off the bridge into the Hudson to put himself out...and survived!

Actually. The news reported that a truck plowed into a broken down car. The driver was killed instantly (doesn't everyone die instantly? You're alive... you're alive... you're alive... you're dead. -Steven Wright) when the car burst into flames. The passenger got out, engulfed in flames, and jumped off the bridge, but did not survive the fall.

As far as the ticket goes... I was found guilty, of disregarding controls in a construction zone, but the judge said he felt that the state had some culpability, so he cut the fine in half and mad eit a non-chargeable (no points) offense.

Correction: the passenger is in stable condition according to the article below. But look how far he fell. Holy crap!
