Well, Mtn biking takes care of the urges for the summer. But, now that skiing has started to rear it's ugly head it's getting harder to ignore.

I'm antsy, but thankful it is not quite here yet. I am a clutz! I now have a strained achillies tendon with a small tear. I was moving to avoid a football coming toward me and stepped backwards and off a retaining beam that I did not realize was there. I need a little more time for it to heal so I can get my heel into my ski boot.

Hey Diddy...what do you mean? As for the sweatshirt, well lets just say, I watched too many ski movies this summer. If you know what I mean !

HEH!

Hello, my name is Sky and I tried my boots on last month...and it was awesome.

*Hello Sky*

Moved stuff around the basement this past weekend. Handled the skis, checked the edges....nice nice.

Still plenty of Indian Summer left folks. Use the angst towards the workout. Dividends!

Put the roller blades in the truck for the lunchtime roll (if I'm not running/lifting/hooping).

I've been so antsy since July that I started a countdown to Columbus Day weekend thread at KillingtonZone. There were 102 days to go when I started and now there are only 2 more days to go. I've been insulted multiple times for starting that thread but that did not stop me. Counting down helped pass the summer faster. BTW, this weekend will mark my return to VT and opening up my condo. We usually hike the mountain, drink at the brewfest and party into the night. Columbus Day weeked used to mean a few short weeks to opening day. This year we are probably more like a month away from that day but still closer than we were back in July. YIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIEE E.

Ski Haus in Wilmington is haveing a big sale this weekend- something like 60% off 2005 stuff, 20% off 2006. Plus their workshop is open, so I can get my new skis mounted and my wife's tuned.

Getting close. Real close.
