| Greek Peak Yes, a nice area with not too much vertical. I skied there when I visited my son who went to Cornell from 93 - 97. He took "Skiing" as phys-ed. Basically, he went there in the afternoon, did a couple of runs with the phys ed class, then lost them to ski on his own. He used to get in a lot of turns as it was usually quite empty mid-week. I enjoyed my visit, but it is too far from LI to ever be worth a return visit. |

| Friend of mine's father is the CFO, so we're thinking about a multi-day trip there. Even short runs, if held for 14 hours a day, should be fun. Especially free, right? I'm thinking, 950 feet of fairly easy verticle, two friends who are ex-instructors, I ought to be able to handle trees and bumps pretty well byt he time we're done.

| Might get the.... ....."small mountain, mind-numbing, if I show up at another lift in 12 seconds I'll scream" effect, but that's CNY skiing. They try at Greek. It is a wide, "ridgy" place that segregates you and is hard to traverse. Some nice woods off the East base area chair. ANother area of "future proposed lift" over there would be great....it's been on the planning sheet for, say, 20 years. Any steep shots are about 100 feet long. Good family place. But for a long drive, destination....um....not sure about that. I've hit it on some post storm midweek days.....or when the lake effect swings way south, and it can be quite pleasant.

| My philosphy is generally found at the bottom of a beer mug. Or is it lost there? I can't ever remember. Cogito, ergo suus I think, therefore you are.
