One of my first waterfall hikes and still a favorite many years later. It's pretty much always wet on the trail and seriously icey in winter. There is a ski trail right to Peabody slope. Many locals use the trail and several side trails to extreme ski.

If one crosses the brook on the left side, there's an upper pool and a flat boulder to see a closer look at the falls and have lunch.

The Betty Davis bronze plaque to her rescuer is hidden from view by the casual passerby beside the brook. It reads: In Memoriam to Arthur Farnsworth "The Keeper of Stray Ladies" Pecketts - 1939 Presented by a devoted one. He became and was her 2nd husband (of 4).
