Loon Mountain

Low 30's - Cloud Cover – Snowmaking in progress.

30 Trails Open with 7 Lifts Operating

Crowds limited with no significant lines… could nearly ski on the Kangamagus Quad, and the North Peak Express, and did ski onto 7-Brothers Triple & East Basin Double chairs…

There was plenty of snow this week that formed nice soft bumps along the trail edges throughout the mountain. For the most part the trail conditions were fast New England Packed Powder…

Several more trails were open than last weekend including Angel Street, which was sweet by the way.

They are preparing the mountain for Christmas week period, which if the weather stays cold, trail conditions should be excellent.

Charlie I was there Sat and Sunday. Sorry I missed ya.
Lower Flume and Upper Speak Easy had guns going on them as well and Upper Rum Runner. Upper Angel St was really nice. Earliest I can ever remember that being open.
Crowds were larger Sat then Sunday. Not bad really on Sat. Sunday no line unless you were at the Gondola. One more weekend of mild lines. They will be there in droves on the Tues after X-mass. Monday is the major arrival day.

How can you beat watching the Pats win and ski on the same day?

Unless requested to do so by others, I don't ride the Gondola, hence I don't even look to see if there is a line...

I road the gondola once this weekend at 8.15 on Sunday that was it.
Seven Brothers chair had no line at all. The lift attendant said I have seen you enough don't stop to get your pass scanned just get on the lift. There were tracks on Tripple trouble. Not mine.

I noticed a lot of snowboarding tracks on trails with ropes across them...
