Anyone been to the loaf this weekend?

We want to do the loaf, and have opportunity to do so next weekend. How is it? Would it be worth the 2:45 drive or should we do 2:15 to the river instead?

Not if the conditions ain't so good. Early in the season, the River is in better shape than the loaf. Later on the loaf catches up. (Although the last two years the days we went to the loaf were stinkers....)
