Bolton Valley - 12/20/2005

Date(s) Skied: Tuesday, 12/20/2005 - 9:45 am - noon

Resort or Ski Area: Bolton Valley VT

Conditions: Heavy Snow Squalls, Powder, Packed Powder, scoured/thin cover on top.

Trip Report: Rolled up for $4 lift ticket day. New Quad was NOT running - they were still adding chairs to the line. Some guy I rode the chair with said they were shooting for Sat??

Conditions were pretty decent - 2-3" of new fluff and snowing hard all morning....lots of fluffy powder on sides of trails from last couple of storms...knee deep in most spots...very light/fluffy....trails near the top were wind scoured w thin cover, but sides were still workable.....since the quad wasent open and the $4 lift tickets, lines were a little more than would have liked, but all in all a great day.

Once again days like this remind me how much different the Northern VT areas get from Central Southern VT areas....both in Qty and Quality...
