How are conditions at Sunday River?

Anyone heard how things are over there since last week's rain? Thanks,...

I haven't been up since 1/8 which was awesome.

I suggest posting the question over on SR MB. http://www.sundayriver.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=

Although right now things are pretty negative. Peopel are complaining about the weather which is not the mountains fault. I bet things will be the be great there today.

I hear they are making snow on the bread and bitter trails as long as temps permitt.

I'll have a trail report for y'all on Sunday night.

i was up at sunday river for the long weekend - only got to ski a couple hours yesterday morning. first trip i've ever made up there and hardly took my skis out of ski check at the hotel... it poured on sat and was ridiculously windy on sunday, only 5 lower mtn lifts were open. it was still very windy yesterday morning but they were able to open some more lifts - it was bitter cold at the top of barker. the snow was very hard, but sr groomers seemed to make the best of what they had. it wasn't loose granular, i think that machine groomed hardpack is far superior to that. around 2:30 they started making snow all over the place (i was having lunch at the well at that point), everywhere from south ridge to north peak to barker. should be good this week as long they don't get anymore weather like on saturday. make sure your edges are sharp - the snow is fast.
