Mad River Glen - December 22, 2003

December 22, 2003
Mad River Glen, Waitsfield, VT
No Single

Knowing full-well that the single chair was down for repair, my folks and I drove up to the Mad River Valley for a half day at MRG. The natural snow was plentiful with a packed powder and powder surface, with a bit of hardpack under the practice chair. My folks rode up together on the double most of the time, and I was able to ride up with three different, nice skiers. To me, Mad River Glen is the essence of skiing but I'm not going to gush. Here are some pictures.

Lift ticket is $45 midweek and weekend. I'd say about three fifths of the lot was full. Normally there were one to three parties in line on the double chair. The practice chair never had a line.
