from their website,

Mother Nature may be on our side this time. If we receive significant snowfall, Powder Ridge plans to open this week. Stay tuned! 1-877-SKI-RIDGE for details.
so maybe with this storm and the threats from the state on having to compensate season ticket holders they will open back up.

I think it is too little too late for the place. As Riv said, people have already been burned and won't be back. It's sad to say

As said, too little, too late.

They left a message on our Vmail about the re-opening. We were in VT this weekend (Yes, I may actually write a trip report) I really don't think its worth trying to make-up the debacle that was the past 2 months. The kid lost a lesson, the wife 2. *Expletive* them. We got the kid a lesson yesterday at Okemo that went very well, and I think, more than made-up for the PR screw-up.
Once bitten, twice shy. Sorry, PR, even though I learned to ski there over 20 years ago, you guys really dropped the ball this year.

I noticed that Sundown did some major stockpiling this season. Even last night I noticed huge mounds of snow that will likely keep them going until the end of March. Granted Sundown is further north, but the crappy weather that almost ended the Ridge's season was experienced by all CT ski areas. I spoke with Dotty Craig, Sundown's marketing director in December and they were able to open early this season because they stockpiled a ton of snow they blew during that cold snap befire Thanksgiving. Had they spread it around, they would have lost it all in the warmup after Turkey Day.
