| Jay Peak - 12/27/2003-01/01/2004 Date(s) Skied: 12/27/2003-01/01/2004 Resort or Ski Area: Jay Peak Conditions: Everything from PDR to PP to FRGR to WET Trip Report: At least they've had lots of snow to get a good base down at Jay. We drove past some pretty scratchy slopes at Cannon on the way. Jay however had nary a bare spot. We started skiing in spring conditions which changed to rain which changed to cold and windy with a few inches of fresh. The new snow drifted into the trees and you could find a few powder stashes, but you had to deal with the underlying crust. All in all, not bad conditions considering how it is elsewhere in New England. |
