I saw a HUGE fire involving a fully stocked potato barn yesterday. Crazy those things pop like crazy they closed off 2 miles of the area in each direction. I was passing by before the cops or fire dept got there.

There was a large forest fire here in Deer Park on April 20th, about 50 acres of pine forest burned down and the fire damaged a portion of the Ronkonkoma branch of the Long Island Railroad. The flames where 80' high and threatened several business for a time. There must have been 12-15 engine companies at the scene
