What amazes me is this statistic:

- Most users ever online was 239, Mar 27, 2006 at 9:58 AM.

I wonder if that one will be beat this season...

To be fair that was probably a result of some spider or bot flurry, or blip in the forum software....

I've seen over 100 which I think is proabably legit. Check out Who's Online. It shows which visitors are SE spiders.

More specifically, they crawl the internet (web) looking for information to serve up in search engine results.
