| Wachusett - 2/12/2004 Date(s) Skied: Played hookey on Thursday Feb 12th. Resort or Ski Area: Wachusett, Princeton Ma. Conditions: Packed Powder, a bit of Frozen Granular, minor scratchy in spots some loose crud in others. Trip Report: Excellent Sun, very good snow and more Firefighters than I have ever seen before. Apparently there is this great little Firefighter Charity event that all the Firefighters in all the towns across Massachusetts participate in. they race Nastar in full gear, hoses and all. It is something to see! I'm not sure what cause it was for, but I can tell you some of these guys could ski. Big thumbs up to the firefighters. The snow was execellent, the sun was perfect, the weather was great and I skied my buns off till 2 and then split for home. I've posted a few pics in the gallery. Gallery Pics Here |

| Missed ya! I got to Wachusett at 3:15 today. I was with a school group. I have to agree totally with your assessment of the conditions. Skiing was GREAT! Too bad the lines got so long at about 5. The firefighters muster on skis is an annual event at Wachusett that draws figher fighter teams from all over MA (and other places in NE I think.) It is for MDA. My town has participated several years, but I do not think they did this year. It is a great event for a worthy cause.
