    Skiing Passover (Mon / Tues)

For some reason I completely forgot to consider Sugarbush. That would have been a good choice. Unfortunately, work got in the way, so I'll be taking off the snows and changing the ski carrier over to kayak carrier this weekend. Hope some of you guys get some last licks in and post reports...

    Skiing Passover (Mon / Tues)

Just found out the kids are off school Mon and Tues. Contemplating a slopeside seder. What's open and worth it and not a whole day's drive from the greater NY metro? Quick look around and I think Jay might be the only realistic option. I have an Indy, and the kids would love the waterpark...

    Eclipse PSA

We made a last minute decision to go to Whiteface, drove halfway and stayed in Saratoga Springs Sunday night, the rest of the way early a.m. The skiing was FANTASTIC. And the eclipse did not disappoint. Really happy the weather and stars aligned and we made the trip. I'm almost bummed the...

    Bolton Valley night riding.

Quoting myself again... when I looked opened the weather the next morning I realized I'd been looking at Richmond, ME. Anyway.... just back from a GREAT four days (Weds - Sat) at Bolton. Wed / Thur we did see a little drizzle, but that was actually a blessing as it kept the snow soft and...

    Bolton Valley night riding.

Is it really gonna r&%n on us for three straight days? Such a kick in the gut, dammit.

    Bolton Valley night riding.

Heading to BV for the first time next week, 7 year old in tow. Tentative plans to ski weds - sat. Hearing conditions are good with perhaps some more on the way. Looking forward to it. 7 year old is stoked for some tree skiing and natural snow which we've missed entirely this season.

Wyoming Trip - Jackson Hole, Snow King, Grand Targhee

I feel like any time you get off a plane onto the tarmac, you're in for a good time. Far flung tropical destinations, mountain resorts, etc... (No doubt some of you that have served or worked in some far flung destinations would disagree... just from the fishing / hunting / skiing / adventure...

    The Dreaded "Closing" Thread: 2023-2024

Catamount was pretty bare this weekend, but fun mashed potatoes skiing and I give them a lot of credit for having a pretty good "product" overall this season given the weather. Ripper and Catapult still open off the top with some decent moguls. According to everyone at the hill, they are going...

    Any insider tips?

We get this type of post here occasionally. What's the game? There's no link or anything. What would such a "bot" be trying to achieve? Who created it and why? I am computer illiterate, so perhaps it's trivial to create something that can create a profile (with a picture), go through the...

First Snowfalls, Upcoming weather and Storms of winter 2023-2024. Storm snow totals, Observations and Predictions?

Places south of VT are closed for the week. Be lucky to ski this weekend. St. Pat's is in doubt. I'm sorry for the foul language on a family friendly forum but this weather SUCKS DONKEY BALLS.

Should Radar Guns Be Used At Ski Resorts To Slow Down Skiers & Boarders?

Who wants to invest in my wearable radar detector startup?

    Jackson Hole Sold

Fair enough. I was more referring to the remove your shoes and empty your water bottle bit, not so much the metal detectors. But didn't mean to diminish anyone's efforts or concerns. Funny enough I once got held for almost an hour in Amsterdam because they saw the late night street shawarma...

    Jackson Hole Sold

"it's almost like you've never even seen Aspen Extreme." That's great. EDIT: and almost totally off topic, but even worse then buying a lesson to skip the lines (and fast past BS) is paying to breeze through airport security. We are all subjected to this humiliating, insulting security...
