I believe there are recent studies showing it actually boosts your immune system...which doesn't do a lot of good if you die of hypothermia...

There will be blue/green off the summit. If you look at the present trail map http://www.crotchedmountain.com/trail_map.html that trail will be the one to the west entering into present day Moon Walk. I believe reasoning for not going to the summit originally was not actually wind or easy access...

Nice. Hopefully they have accounted for wind...however they do that, but the team there has done a pretty good job over the past few years, so I'll trust they've thought things through.

This is an in interesting point. At first I thought, well, everyone giving this year high marks and getting in all those hill days must be a pass holder. I'm giving this year a solid D up to this point. Been out three times and haven't hit any good "powder", packed powder or butter cord...
