JFC abc. You really are something. I'm on the lake every damn day I'm not working and it's decent weather . I don't need the education. Not trying to pull rank, but my knowledge of those waters is probably a little stronger than yours. Just a little bit Sorry you can't freaking read when I...

    Peeing while skiing

The bdfreetuna post about crapping in the woods is an all time AZ classic Wonder what he's up to

I pretty clearly stated "unless you are in a quiet cove" implying near shore and shallower water. That's fine. Anywhere in the broads, not so much. That's almost as smart as riding a bicycle on a freeway. And I'm sorry admiral, you're not paddling and dodging a drunk not paying attention to...

    VAIL SUCKS

I'll agree that as far as mountain coasters go, Attitash's sucked. We do the Gunstock one a couple times a summer and it's pretty awesome. Shame the Zip Line didn't work out. I believe at the time it went in, those were the two longest ziplines in North America. Looks fun, but after the...

    VAIL SUCKS

Place used to be packed with families having fun in the summer all the way back to the 80s. Wonder if the Stowe employee Zipline fatality had anything to do with that attraction closing at Attitash. Meanwhile down the street, Cranmore continues to expand their summer appeal more and more

Unless you are in a quiet cove near the shore, you are absolutely foolish to kayak on Winni. This is our 5th season on the lake. We spend at minimum, 30 days on the water a season. I know of at least two instances during the past 4 years of kayakers getting hit by drunken boaters and ending...

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

Maybe belongs in the boating thread. Is this Granite's setup?

Jay Peak Thread (New owners, New Future)

One of my best friends has been a groomer there now for two seasons. He was grooming at Smuggs prior. I asked him what the employees felt about the new ownership and he said it was very positive and that most long term staff said no real change operationally or culturally with the ownership...

    2024- 2025 Gear

I don't see the point skiing on something wider than 90 probably 80% of the ski days in a season in the East, maybe more. Even if you are a Jay skier. That's honestly why I bought the Kendos. I bought the M102 last season thinking I could downsize my quiver and split the difference between...

    Boating 2024

The thing that makes Winnipesaukee great are the five towns all with free town docks. If the weather or water isn't great for tubing or hanging on the sandbars, we just pick a town to cruise to for lunch and to hang out a bit. Only challenge with Winni is it is loaded with 40' boats and big...

My wife and I got married on Weirs Beach. Not intentional, but fitting as a big Deadhead

Ours went in last week. Didn't get out last weekend as the lake was pretty rough and it was low 50s. But we got up to Winni, uncovered our cabana from winter and stained the deck. Might get a ride in on Sunday

    2024- 2025 Gear

I grew up in Westboro and until I was 15, Strands is where my entire family went for boots. They are well known as some of the best boot fitters in New England and have been for decades.

    2024- 2025 Gear

If you can swing it financially, I would do both foot beds and boots given the age of your boots. I'd probably go to Strands in Worcester living where you do.

    2024- 2025 Gear

Definitely would be my first thought as well. Unless I go into a season in really good shape, I always get foot cramping early season. Even when in shape, it takes a few days out to get over. That said, feet can certainly change in a 7 year period. I've always had flat feet, but between about...
