    VAIL SUCKS

Our money went to Ikon this upcoming season since we are spending some days skiing in Europe in 2022. We'll also grab and Indy Pass for quick hit mountains.

Ski Areas in the East with 1,000 vertical glades

I am very surprised that no one brought up T-Brook (Thompson Brook) at Wildcat. Its not really on the map, but isn't hard to find. I'd wager that T Brook, connected with the Bonus Woods, is the longest uninterrupted glade run that is lift served.

    Subaru

Head gaskets suck with them. However, I'm on my second short block for oil consumption through the rings on my 2015 n/a 2.5. So far, the Tri City dealer has been great to me. Oddly enough, the different bore/stroke/hardware combination on my '13 BRZ has it eating zero oil.

    Fat Lady Thread 2017

The cold nights don't look to be in the forecast. We got lucky with a fantastic day on this past Sunday. Everything was open and was completely skiable. The only place we didn't go was into the lower part of Shaft. It wasn't the smartest thing to do considering we could hear the water rushing...

3-18, 19, 20 Bolton Valley, Jay Peak, Mad River Glen PICS!

Truth. I thought SB and Wildcat were pretty generous with open terrain. Despite the melted ice shelves, giant rocks, swaths of dirt & grass they were 100% open.

3-18, 19, 20 Bolton Valley, Jay Peak, Mad River Glen PICS!

After that giant storm on Tuesday last week I was lucky enough to have a VT trip planned to 3 mountains that I had never been to before. We made Bolton Valley the home base and skied there, Jay, and MRG. Bolton was outstanding. If I had to guess, their clientile doesn't venture into the...

    Mad River Glen this weekend

I will put up my trip reports shortly, but this is pretty accurate. We skied Bolton Saturday- loads left in the trees, LOADS. Probably due to the low angle and most folks not skiing trees there. Sunday was Jay. Lots there. Little scrappy in the woods off Jet, but the Zoomer side (beaver pond...

    Mad River Glen this weekend

I skied MRG on Monday. It was super warm out and a lot of the steep stuff has seen better days. Big bumps have formed and were very fun and soft, but were waning with little left in the troughs. Paradise was alright, but you really had to pick and choose the line- it is no longer wall to wall...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

This. I was there a few years back on the last day and was genuinely surprised that they were calling it quits. We were still skiing in the trees that day!

    Wildcat- Where to stay

Also check out Stonehurst Manor. It looks expensive, but really isn't bad compared to some of the other hotels. It is also close to the same places mentioned above, just a little more effort of walking up a hill. They also have a fancy looking bar/lounge area if you're into that kind of thing...
