Skier falls and dies on Mt Washington amugst multiple rescues this weekend

He's 23. He didn't need to do any internet research. All he had to do was look up and see the snow. And then if he looks down, sees his sneakers and thinks that's good enough, well, it's on him. "Just hiking in New Hampshire"?? Here's some light reading about "just hiking in New Hampshire"...

    Sunday River 22-23

I completely discount every word of someone who has a joint Facebook account with their spouse.

Which tracker app is that? SR has one built into the app, but I forgot to turn it on when I was there last weekend.

    Jessica's Law in New Hampshire

It's a law in MA, too, but it doesn't look like many people pay too much attention to it.

    Sunday River 22-23

Late 90s, a friend of mine and I popped in to say hi to old marketing director. On the back of his door he had a somewhat detailed map of the next wave of expansion. Things obviously got in the way and those plans changed, but I distinctly remember him saying Jordan is in the middle of the...

    North Conway ski shop intel?

This is the best information in this entire thread.

Anyone try the Hand Out Pro Gloves?

Wish I had known about this company before Christmas. Bought my son a pair of trigger finger mittens. He doesn't ski a ton, since he plays HS hockey, so I didn't want to break the bank. Paid significantly more for a pair than the ones here, and I bet they are not as good of quality as these...

    Another Death at Cannon

Friend of mine's brother does S&R down in Belknap County. He gets called in quite a bit, from what I hear. Heard some stories about his work. Pretty difficult work. So, thank you for volunteering for such a hard and thankless job.

Balsams Grand Resort teams up with ski industry legend Les Otten

In North Conway, is all the concrete on the east side of North-South Rd, down towards Lowe's, the remnants of the old air field that used to be in that general area? I seem to remember that from when I was a little kid, but nothing specific.

Electric Cars/Trucks and winter weather testing with results. What do you think? Who has taken one in Freezing cold long distance to a Ski mountain?

We didn't run into issues with the Tesla chargers, but we did have once where all the regular chargers were occupied in the garage we went to. That led to us finding another garage, trying to get it to work, having lots of problems, calling tech support, they didn't speak English (our French is...

Electric Cars/Trucks and winter weather testing with results. What do you think? Who has taken one in Freezing cold long distance to a Ski mountain?

This past summer we went to France for a week. We stayed in Paris, but spent 2 nights in Strasbourg. When my wife rented a car, she did it online thru a 3rd party (Expedia or something) and rented a "class" of car, thinking we would get a BMW or Audi, maybe. We got a Tesla. At first, we were...

    VAIL SUCKS

No idea. The info online says something about the Alpine Club. I'm assuming that's what you're referring to, but there's zero info about it.

    VAIL SUCKS

Bretton Woods has this, cleverly called The Bretton Woods Club. I've only ever seen old dudes reeking of money with it. There's an application for it online. For a single skier, it's $4300, almost $6700 for a couple. Tack on a few hundred more per dependent.

Shawnee Peak Maine acquired by Boyne

I had/had a pin advertising the alpine slides at Pleasant Mountain. Probably from the early 80s. If I still have it I'll post a pic.
