    The "Sugarbush Thread"

I figured this was part of it. I wish I could get up there one more time this season, but it's not in the cards.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

I rarely ski past early April so I don't know what it's supposed to look like end of season, but looking at the Allyn's Lodge webcam. The drop from the top of Super Bravo down to Downspout looks pretty grim. Will they push snow around or will it be Valley House from now on? Also, the camera...

That's what I would have thought, but that would require the lift to offload higher up and there' not a lot of room for that. Maybe the off load ramp would be less steep which would allow for off loading a few feet higher.

Sure...I get that. But it seems like they will have to blast (regrade) way past the OG headwall. Maybe as far as the spot where that trail is that leads to the observation deck. How will that affect the OG headwall? I'm guessing that this isn't nearly as big a deal as I'm making it out to be.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Looking at the webcams today two thoughts came to mind: 1. I'm not an engineer, but I'm confused at how they are going to regrade the climb from HG to OG/Jester to make it less of a climb. I'm assuming the offloading ramp will still be in the same place. 2. On the Walt's webcam, I saw four...

Anyone feel the earthquake up in VT. Whole house shook here in NJ.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

This is really cool and well done. I completely agree...the metal with padded seat doesn't have the same vibe. When I told my wife about Heaven's Gate being replaced and SB selling chairs she asked if I wanted one. My response was...where am I going to put it and how am I going to get it to NJ?

Hawk, I appreciate the response and I completely get it. What I write below is most certainly not directed at you. At what point does someone move on though? How many days/years does it take to get over it? I'm sure Bob's a lovely guy who I'd enjoy having a beer with. However, his childish...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Sure. I agree with that. However, Bob (and others) can’t seem to let it go and have been gleefully attacking every single social media post made. It comes off very much like Karen asking to speak to the manager.

If that picture showed more, it would show my responses. While I tend to agree with you that SB should just not respond, there are a decent handful of folks who are just plain insufferable jerks. He had it coming. And you could argue (weak argument) that the response was just trying to be...

Bummer. I haven't been up since late February (I did have two trips out west though) so I don't know what it looks like and it's usually hard to get a good feel from the webcams. But if the storm could make Moonshine/Twist/The Mall/Eden/Deeper Sleeper/North Lynx terrain enjoyable, it would be...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

FWIW, the single chair weather blog is making this incoming storm look really big! If that's the case, while it's frustrating to have limited terrain at SB, Moonshine/Twist/The Mall would all be really fun and I would think they would normally be pretty rough at this time of year.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

BTW, thanks to all who chimed in with advice for my quick trip to Utah. We were forced to ski Deer Valley 2 of the 3 days due to storms and the difficulty in getting from PC to the LCC/BCC which wasn't ideal. But, we skied Snowbird on a Bluebird Wednesday after a storm and it was a top three...

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

While I think the communication was done very poorly, the HG replacement WAS announced as starting in early April a few months ago. I only recall seeing it announced once though. If I were SB, I would have been mentioning this fact on a weekly basis so I was transparent about things. The way...

Thanks all for the intell. Any thoughts on fun terrain at Deer Valley. It's me and my adult daughter. Not into hardcore stuff. Happy to do bumps/glades/groomers. Not into hike to stuff. Looking at the map, it looks like the Bald Mountain terrain and the Empire and Lady Morgan terrain as...
