Probably a band next weekend would be my guess. Beer and food selection will be limited, they are just trying to clear out inventory right now.

I actually think they look pretty good for April 25th. It's not the middle of January. They will push snow around but could see it just being VH going forward, you'll only be missing LOG, Murphy's and Birdland if they go VH only.

Ski areas are always dead this time of year and the snow will melt as the sun gets higher in the sky. They are all losing money by being open, they do it for the marketing. Most people have moved on as all the kid sports and other warm weather outdoor activities are available.

I dont recall the trails above Fiddlehead, there is a big brook to cross to get back to the base area. There was a lodge location behind Sunny Q, it's where all the park stuff is stored now.

The key to having your kids ski in all conditions is for you not to complain about the conditions. When my kids were little I would just tell them to be a little more aware when skiing, it might be a bit icy. We also rarely if ever just dropped them off and didn't ski ourselves because...

I will be surprised when Bravo is on windhold and HG is running. I hope the heavier chairs and slatted seatbacks help but I think it will be on windhold just as frequently as it has been, wind gets stronger the higher you go. Regardless, I am looking forward to it being new.

I also assume Tatro's is doing the lift removal and prep work for new lift?

There will probably be a vertical rock face on skiers right as you go past OG. It won't affect the headwall that much, maybe a few feet less of vert. That top section is usually a rink anyway.

The new owners ruined the Warren Store. Terrible quality and so overpriced. They finally smartened up and put the reutzler back on the menu but it doesn't come close to what the original was. It's not even a food option for us anymore.

They are going to blast the road from HG unload to Jester to lower it so there will not be an up hill climb anymore.

Only Sugarbush has lift problems ;)

Good progress on removing HG. Does anyone know when the chopper is scheduled to take down the towers?

Yes for construction at the summit, that shack is coming down. I agree it would be fun to watch but there are enough armchair QB's on here already.
