    The "Sugarbush Thread"

Hi Win, What lifts are going to be open this weekend on Lincoln side? I checked the snow report from today and it lists SuperBravo and Heaven's gate open at 9, and then says all others open at 10. Will Castle Rock be running? And what about Gate House? Some riders in my party are hoping...

where are we going this weekend?

For sure, I'm probably heading up there regardless. Always like to get some hike-to terrain cause there are just that many less people..

where are we going this weekend?

Steve, What's the prognosis for weekend of April 28 then? Will you expect any repairs to be completed on the Tram or at least minimize possibility of damage in order to open up other lifts? Thanks for the info in advance!!

    This weekend? NY? VT?

Stratton closed Sunbowl after last weekend if that affects your decision at all. Not happy about it myself, but I will be heading there on Sat as I have a $25 ticket voucher.

They also claim to have gotten 8" over the week, so I think conditions will be much better than last weekend. Guess I just convinced myself to go too, c ya there.

    Catskills trip advice

They are 100% open so if their natural trails are open there's a good chance the woods are too. Might be up there on Sunday as well, before they get r#$ed on next week.

Middlebury Snow Bowl worth checking out?

Its a great lil place to stop on your drive up to NVT. In the past they had deals for $25 lift tickets which is so worth it even if just for a couple hours. Boundary to boundary skiing, et is fair game. Lots of drops all over the place. Enjoy it!

    Jay was awesome today 1/1/17

I was up there on Jan 1st as well. They were one of the only places accepting a ski-vt pass on the first, so Bonus! The 9+ inches overnight just topped off this ridiculous holiday storm cycle. Et was huckable knowing you would land in 3 feet of soft. Lower down the mt you had to be careful...

12-3-16 Sugarbush Lake effect squalls piled up overnight Friday night all along the Green Mountain spine and continued for most of the day today. 1st day out for the year and I was thinking of hitting SVT today but after watching the squalls on doppler all day Friday I knew the goods were...
