I would ski that twice a week all summer if there was such a setup at Xanadu.
Every year.
Less severe when K stays open late like this past season.
I lost a ski season to injury and spent the whole time thinking of adaptive skiing techniques; welding skis to a wheelchair sounds like an idea to me too.
In the worst case I figured I could take...
You would like skiing with BDfreetuna.
Don't think he has ever achieved terminal velocity.
The only excuse I could use to justify quitting skiing is death.
Well well...you're alive.
Do you still ski? I was hoping to hear from you about skiing a day at K or Hunter. I guess those places don't rate compared to the mighty Sundown eh?
Don't be such a...
+1
The only one who doesn't suck is the poor kid. Really sad.
Outstanding J. Spin, as usual!
Anyone ski it?
At 5:30 on Sunday I went to the webcam and watched folks making their last lift served turns. I was envious.
How pathetic am I?
Just peeked at the webcam...it's snowing at K!
In the 10 seconds the cam gave me I saw at least 5 skiers coming down. Awesome!
And the Rangers live to play another game.
K is to be commended for opening this coming weekend and allowing folks to slide for free. They would have stayed open into June if they could have. June is never a guarantee.
This season still...
180 and 2knees, appreciate the invites but I can't make it Sunday...it's my wife's birthday. In fact, this Friday might be the only day this week I can go, and that's only if I can bag out on my...
After thinking they would not make it to Memorial Day, I admit they have a shot at it.
I may not be done for the lift served season yet.
Nice pics...very European.
Do some of the ski areas offer more expert terrain than others?
Have not been to FTO since soon after Marc moved out west years back.
The basin made it to August one year.
Awesome!
She made it to 100 because she keeps active and tries new things.
I can see from the pics that it would be a "just to make some turns" type of situation.
I'll probably wind up at Mt. Washington. A buddy and I are plotting a trip.
I did see that pic and it was the reason I asked if they seed that area for bumps. The fact that the trail was used for racing explains why they mowed it.
I'd like to get one more ski day in...
Thanks for the update and new TR Pat.
So they don't seed those bumps. Guess they mowed them due to the colder weather.
That is an impressive amount of snow for 5/12!
It was great, brought back alot of old memories. Wish I could go again this coming weekend.
Do they re-seed the bumps after they reset them? Open weekends only?
