Ski season is here.
Too cold and windy to fish on the res yesterday and even today.
Skis will be turning underfoot in another month.
I like your attitude.
I guess it's good I don't own one.
Do you own a VW? I would be pissed if I bought one based on emissions/environmental claims.
It doesn't bother anyone that VW took $51 million in subsidies from the US taxpayer by lying about mileage figures?
I would never buy a VW anyway but these scumbags defrauded consumers and then...
I hear you on the social part Smelly. I enjoy skiing alone and always complain that I don't do that enough.
Skiing provides a sense of pioneering and adventure that increases when you are on your...
Until the lift malfunctions and someone gets hurt.
It reminds me of the Competition Slope at Spruce Peak in Stowe. Looks a lot steeper but the same big open field design.
Going to guess it's more dramatic looking in person.
Yeah, I can see that after hiking it.
We hiked the Black range (Blackhead, Black Dome and Thomas Cole) which are the peaks in those pics. 8.5 miles to do all three with combined 2800 vert. Took 7...
Great skiing sequences on old school equipment. I still enjoy watching this movie.
The amount of money you would save in MJ costs because of its' efficiency pays for the upfront expense rapidly (depending on personal usage). Not to mention the obvious health benefits.
Brits usually having the most fun too.

Quit almost 30 years ago.
Probably a 5 hour drive for me from NY but I would take that.
How far is Black from Wildcat?
You should have replied, "I don't care if you burn".
I would have been a lot more pissed about cig smoke though.
Lame not the right word, overly cautious and restrictive are better.
Slides are legit steep...name refers to rock slides. Not for posers and not for skiing on anything other than totally stable...
My mom was Swiss...we skied in Switzerland frequently. In my experiences the worst behavior came from Austrians and Germans. Entitled SOB's for the most part. Not at all orderly.
Great! Now we can add people mesmerized by the inside of their goggles to the other buttheads to worry about skiing into others.
Hey Warp, don't ignore the possibility of adaptive skiing. I know several chair skiers at Hunter and they rip. Can ski anything.
Slides at Whiteface trump any pod mentioned to this point.
Since you can ski weekdays why don't you try Hunter on a weekday?
Seems unfair to trash Hunter because of a weekend experience and then say you might feel that way about K but for the most part...
ss20 said it before...if anyone has any issues with lift line etiquette anywhere in the US then they need to spend a month skiing in Europe.
European skiers act like animals on line. Literally...
