Nothing to see at Ragged, just drive by to other places... Seriously they have a high ratio of glade acreage to mountain size. Big snow transforms that place into a great day. No particular glade trail in general, most are really good.

Rival Sons. Recommendation from a friend. No specific song, just let the Echo shuffle. So far, so good. Been around about 10 years. Sort of a throwback, hard rock band. Singer reminds me a bit of Paul Rodgers.

Yesterday was the closing of Ragged. Surprisingly low numbers for good conditions and weather.

Ssshhh! people don't need to know about their disproportionate amount of glades to trails at Ragged. Or the easy ride... Honestly believe they go from basically an average mid(ish) size area to a totally different animal with that kind of snow, which in turn opens all of those glades. Truly...

This is actually a post of what is NO longer a deal... Went on to Sunapee site. Guess being a Vail resort now, it seems they aren't doing the day(s) before deals anymore. Last year if you purchased on a Monday (for a Friday) it was 50% off (about $42). Now they were offering $83 instead of...

Ragged is much less crowded on weekends.... AND what about their expansion? That would make Ragged go up a notch in my book. Though their bar is very small. Back to Sunapee, I'm for the expansion. As long as it's all approved...

Also takes away a fair amount of their terrain if the Sunbowl quad is down... Doesn't sound like a good day. I'll never touch it on any weekend day.

I also have trouble feet and love my Nordica Transfire R1. I have a high arch/instep and most narrower boots just crush my feet. The Transfire R1 has been great. Maybe a touch soft, but I'll take all-day comnfort over a little extra flex.

Was there FRiday as well, but even better deal as I had Fox free tickets. Conditions were great!

Used to get the Sunapee-Okemo-Stratton midweek pass. Pluses: Grooming is good, if you like it that way. Glades are pretty diverse and quite a few. 50/50: Lifts. One side of the mountain is covered by many chairs. The other side is sparse, of course where some of the more interestin terrain...

Keep us updated... Bozeman is a cool airport/town. Went past Big Sky and Jacksion Hole while visiting Yellowstone in October... Man I hate being near great resorts - at the wrong time of year.

^Ragged was amazing yesterday. With nearly all of the glades open, it really transforms to a much better ski area... There was a petition going around to extend it a weekend, but with them running out of beer and knowing the crowds will die doubt they will try to extend.

Should be good this upcoming last weekend of theirs. ^Agree, there should be plenty of snow left on the trails after they close... Will be there Sunday, have a voucher to use.

Yeah, their thaw/freeze management at Ragged is hit or miss. Was there on Friday and they were having a tough time fighting the conditions that set up the day before. It was 10:30 when we got a voucher and the only open trail (other than learning area) was Exhibition... Don't doubt they...

Looks soft and fluffy!
