    Cheap Mt Snow lodging

Grilled Cinnamon Buns and coffee at Dot's in Wilmington in late afternoon is always a great way to wind down the day. Breakfast and lunch is good there too but always seems way to crowded.

Most Dangerous Trails -> NY Daily News stoopid choices

Some good photography though. Years ago one of the Stowe trails used to make this list, I can't remember what one, Star or Goat of one of them. http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/worlds-scariest-ski-slopes/15

    Dana Place Inn, Jackson, NH

I've stayed in some really great B&Bs and some real dumps and in any general area, they are the same price or similar no matter if they're great or if they suck. Thanks for the call out on this one.

1/16/2011 Mt. Whittier (nelsap) Misery 'tour'

Great report, I enjoyed your writing. I was feeling desperate right along with you. Being a Stephen King fan I was wondering when the boogie man might come along and have you for lunch. But seriously, way up there alone, do you guys bring some protection more potent than a cell phone? I'm...

    Food at Hunter

As I get older and can afford it more, I just hate being ripped off. Hence I usually brown bag it no matter where I go. The skiing I happily pay for, the rip off food at Disneyland prices not so much.

    Crotched Midnight Madness 1/14

I wonder what it will be like tonight. (Sunday 1-15) I'd like to get some laps in but Wachusett is just way too crowded.

    Snow Making at Wachusett

That's too bad, I think they do a great job and wasn't really complaining and much as wondering what was up. I've seen them lay down and incredible amount of snow in the past so I know they can do it. Maybe we'll get hit with a nice heavy snowfall this Tue/Wednesday. Let's hope so, It's winter...

    Snow Making at Wachusett

Snow Making Interesting. I didn't know about the TV in the bar and such. I didn't think it could be a budget issue, but then again, I have no knowledge of WaWa's or any other ski areas financials and have no idea what it costs to actually make that snow. I can guess it isn't cheap. Just the...

    Snow Making at Wachusett

I've noticed recently that when up at Mt. Wachusett I have not seen the snow making equipment blowing snow during the day as I had seen earlier in the season. Since that last wind storm with a very little snow, and then above freezing temps for multiple days, I have still not seen much snow...

    >>> For the groomers, sometimes they have no choice but to beat the snow into submission or lose it to the woods. Exactly, and this was one of those snowstorms that was more wind than snow unfortunately.
