    Killllington 🎿🏂🏂🎿🎿🏂🏂🎿😀

Same here, going up tonight just for the weekend, but NOT sharpening my edges;) hoping the snow is soft and there are some moguls to be found. Hoping for more snow than rain but we'll see. Likely my last trip up....

Why are you not supposed to tuck your long johns into your boot?

So it sounds like it's more of a comfort thing, I don't seem to have any problems with them bunching up and causing pressure points or discomfort, but I'm pissed I didn't consider the 3/4 length.

Why are you not supposed to tuck your long johns into your boot?

Only one I've ever seen is from Icebreaker. Couldn't find 3/4 in 400 weight wool anywhere.

Why are you not supposed to tuck your long johns into your boot?

I've heard from a few bootfitter guys on youtube that you should not have your longjohns tucked in your boot, just the socks. Can anyone explain why? Been doing it wrong for years!

    Extreme Polling

Went skiing today for first time since the tendon was repaired and all was fine, like nothing ever happened. I am very glad I listened and went to the doctor, it would have been terrible if I had to go through life with a weakened arm. I tried skiing without pole straps but it's not too...

    Injury Roster 2011 / 2012 Ski Season

Glad to report that my surgery seems to have gone well and my left arm now feels 100% healed, I honestly don't feel any negative effects of what happened at all. I'm able to do everything I was able to do before. I'll probably be a little nervous when I start skiing again, maybe i'll dull the...

Echoes From An Old Ski Injury

You didn't mention your age, seems every injury I get now takes 3X longer to heal, maybe you just need more time. Speaking of knees, I notice mine are starting to click lately when I rotate, I think at 51 they're starting to show sign of years of mogul abuse. Getting old sucks.

    Injury Roster 2011 / 2012 Ski Season

pulled my left bicep tendon right off the bone ended my season abruptly. Surgery and rehab fixed it all, should be good to go next season. Pole plant in the ice got stuck pulling my arm behind me and POP. Amazing how multiple Advil's can deaden pain, I skied the next two days with 1 arm. I knew...

Forsake on Kickstarter - support a shoe company by skiers for skiers

and in a nutshell, that's why our country is going downhill, we are not industrial manufacturers anymore, we are consumers of throwaway garbage.

    On mountain food prices

The Burgers and chili at K are pretty damn good. It's not priced so high that I freak out about it, but I was pissed when they took away the pass-holders discount, think it was 10% ? But I certainly wouldn't brown bag it based on the price, they're entitled to make a profit on food. It's no...

    Has skiing/boarding changed you?

Yep skiing changed me all right. Tore a tendon in my right knee that never healed right and clicks when I bend it. My right arm muscles got crushed when I hooked onto a tree to avoid hitting another tree skiing in the woods. My finger got crushed between the 2 poles when I fell on a mogul run...

Forget About Keyboards: Do You Prefer Flat Skis or System Bindings?

I'm probably wrong but seems to me the integrated bindings have a lot of sloppy play or side to side movement. If you stick your boot in it, you can make the boot wobble around side to side a little before it actually makes the ski move. With the flat non integrated bindings it seems there's...

    Extreme Polling

Thought I would post an update for anyone with a similar injury. It's been 3 weeks since the surgery and my arm feels practically normal already. I have full extension and contraction of my arm already and I've only been in PT 4 times. I had a huge blister ( supposedly normal according to the...

Killington/POWDR - how much does bad PR cost them per year in lost revenue?

I'm still new here but I appreciate his passion for skiing and he obviously loves the mountain. I don't mind him at all. In his mind he probably thinks of it as constructive critisism. But If I was running a business that he didn't like, my opinion might be different:)

Skiing - Weight Gain or Loss - Season Long

same here, I usually gain about 10-20 but I usually take ( most ) of it off in the off season. Something about the green mountains and skiing that make me want to light up in the gondola. But then after ski season is over I go back to being an angel and work-out and exercise more. Plus during...

    How old is too old....

I started trying some jumps at 40, mostly small and medium sized ones at Mt. Snow and K. I never tried any tricks, just straight up and an attempted landing ( key word there being attempted ). One big problem was I couldn't seem to have the balls to go fast enough, I always had a knack for...
