Injuries. Whats your worst, if any?

I'm interested in seeing how many of us have had any real bad falls where they at least had to call it for the day. Or close calls. On jan 8th this year I partially tore my ACL and my MCL when my right ski speared a big pile of powder, and stopped my ski in its tracks, hyper-extending my...

Wanted: Trip Report for Jay Peak

Has anyone been to Jay Peak in the past week? How is it there? What should we expect? I'm going up there for Friday-Sunday and wondering how the conditions are. Their website says they have something like 17 trails open.

    Ski Boot Insoles

Hey guys. I'm considering putting new insoles in my ski boots. Is that common practice. The ones in them now are paper thin and compressed to hell. Have you guys done this before? Would you advise against it? Have you tried different brands?

    Storm Spec. Week of 12/19

Figured I'd start up another weather thread for this week. Hopefully it has a different flow than the last one (less depression please, posters must be in denial of warm weather and not mention the word rain) :puke: With the exception of R-word on Wednesday, we have forcasted lows that are all...

    December 20th Night @ Wachusett

I'll be there this Tuesday night around 7pm. If they manage to open more trails I'm def there. If it stays at just Ralphs and Challenger, I'll be on the fence. If anyone wants to meet up, let me know. I'd love to avoid riding up the lift with the rude kids just getting out of school.

1/2" of rain. Temps in the 40's. Skis in the shed.

Looks like the NE is getting hit with warm weather and rain today and tonight. Are we in the clear after this? or is more of this stuff that melts snow going to fall from the sky again?

Waiting out the weather. Almost season for me

Waiting for the cold weather to come. I live in Rhode Island so Its at least a 2 1/2 hour drive to get a decent mountain. On a good season I'll get to the mountain for about 15 days of skiing. I'm an advanced skiier but don't take it too seriously any more. To me, skiing is about taking my...
