It looks like all those expansion areas are mostly south facing.

    The NEW Magic Mountain

What is the latest story with the two old hotels on the left side, just before the base lodge? One was Dostal's, and I forget what the other one was.

    The "Sugarbush Thread"

That was my thought when asking. The second part would be. Can it be run in the off season as an attraction, or was part of the agreement allowing the build, curtailing it's use in the offseason? Bears, etc...

Would the current lift be able to be converted to either a Gondola, or a hybrid Chondola? Would it be as simple as swapping the chairs out for cabins? If it was a gondola, would it be able to be run more often than a chairlift? It seems that the "excuse" given for it not running more often is...

I saw that The Garrison has new owners and will get a major facelift. That place has been stuck in the 70s since the 80s, but has so much potential.

I remember doing that back in grammar school. "I've got a secret, I've got a secret. But I'm not gonna tell you".

Agreed. Thanks Win! This makes a strong co-marketing alliance with MRG even more important.

Look; I can cherry pick too! I don't understand all the mudslinging and bashing all of a sudden. Every state in the NE has good and bad sections, and unfair stereotypes given out by the truly ignorant. New Hampshire is a beautiful state, but should I just label everyone a heroin addict, and...

A pie in the sky question for Win: If permitting and money were no object, what major project/expansion/improvement would you like to do at the ski resort?

New Jersey Meadowlands ski dome to open summer of 2017?

Governor Phil Murphy must be salivating at what kind of new taxes he can come up with to slap on them as soon as they open.

Win: I did not notice Sugar Tree Inn was no longer open to the public. Sad to hear that as I have nice memories of that place. Curiosity got me looking about area inns for sale, and I noticed that there seems to be quite a lot. I found active listings for Mountain View, Slide Brook, Beaver Pond...

Lake Tahoe Reno and Mammoth info please

Some good advice above, that I totally agree with. I wouldn't fly across the country to ski Big Bear. IMHO, the southern Cal resorts are good, but certainly not worth flying across the country for, and having to deal with the LA area bullshit. As mentioned, some of the lesser named Tahoe resorts...

Peak times make peak traffic. Both places you mention are one road in, one road out. Traffic cop is usually at the intersection with 89, doing the best they can. They are probably the worst of the bunch for traffic, so just hang out and have a drink or early dinner, and let the places empty out...
