For me it's Whistler- looking at the last week of February. I was out there last year and the snowpack from mid mtn and below was just awful and still ended up leaving after 9 days there with a big smile and great memories. The place has been keeping me from experiencing other resorts out west.

So as we approach July 4th all I can think about is how many more days until flakes begin to fly and it got me wondering...has anyone already made plans for the upcoming season? I've started checking air for a return to B.C. At the end of Feb.

So was at Stowe today- got in some descent runs in the early morning and actually found the snow to be in excellent shape especially at the top of spruce peak. Saw about an inch or 2 with some quick squalls. Then 11am arrived and with it were 60 mph gusts that created near white out conditions...

Checked the webcams ...guns are blasting! Guessing a opening this weekend of some sorts depending on what happens weds and thurs. Not sure that the long term temps will be beneficial for this early snow to stick around long though. Fingers crossed.
