My godfather had 2 different jeep Commanches like the ones in your link in the late 80s and early 90s. Ran both of them into the ground with nearly 300,000 on each. Old Jeeps rock.

Steady snow. Skied in a storm in 2005 at Sugarloaf while it was nuking at over 2 inches an hour and the wind was blowing pretty good (kinda surprised longside ran all day). Basically free refills all day. Least crowded I've ever seen that place. Ever.

I have the same feelings about DMB, OAR, Dispatch, etc. Love Dispatch and Dave, like a lot of OARs stuff but it's sometimes embarrassing to be counted among most of their fans. None of them are anything like the Dead or Phish, but then they don't really try to be so that isn't really a negative.
