Yes, earlier in the season they did open up a lot of those trails (November - December). But since January, its been a different story. Also, I am talking over the entire time Vail has owned Stowe. It is nowhere near as liberal as it was back when the AIG owned it.

I don't believe they would get any lodging. It doesn't appear that Smugg's owns any lodging (I didn't go through every unit's ownership info, so they might own a couple of condos), they do appear to manage all of the rentals.

Ikon is a ridiculous $110 per day at any of their resorts for a 4-day pass.

Amazing that you can now buy the epic day pass including those two resort for as cheap as $41 per day and $48 per day including holidays. Haven't seen those prices since the 90s.

Does Hunter have snowmaking on the north and west trails? Find it amazing that both areas are closed (at least according to the website).

I know the season has been pretty bad as far as snow and temps, but I did some math and as off today, Vail only has 45% of their expert terrain open at their northeast resorts and 40% at the mid-atlantic resorts. Its been a rough year!

They have a snow guarantee policy at Stratton - Ski up to one hour and if you don't like it, go back to the ticket window and request a voucher. The voucher is good for one year.
