    Bolton Valley night riding.

When I was there in February I was able to redeem at Timberline. Only 1 ticket window there so if you go during a busy time it might take a little bit of time.

    Whos fault?

Watch the video again, when the boarder is approaching the feature the skier is on the side of the trail although if he was smart he would be much further away since he is just skiing through and not hitting the feature. When the boarder takes off the skier is still on the side, THEN he cuts...

    Whos fault?

Skier is at fault. Park etiquette trumps responsibility code in a park. Don’t Cut Across a Feature Avoid cutting in front of takeoffs or across the bottoms of landings. You’ll likely ruin someone’s line, or worse: force someone to crash into you...

RIP mike the jay peak pirate

I was so sad to hear about this. He was an absolute Jay legend! You will be sorely missed Michael and riding the Bonnie will never be the same without you there sharing words of wisdom and one liners. I hope they can find a good way to honor his memory at the lift.

One of the best Spring skiing weeks ever!?!?

I was at Cannon yesterday (4/12) and conditions were still spectacular. As mentioned above, hiking the Saddle is definitely worth the effort. Woods and glades also were in great shape once they softened up later in the day. Go get it before they close on Sunday.

Indy Pass goes off sale 4-10-23 (sold out)

That is good to know, I will be in the same situation with my youngest for 24/25 as well.

Summer 2023 ski area improvement projects

Yes I was duped by an April fools joke that was posted on 4/3. Sorry for passing along bad info. Maybe next summer they get that lift refurbished and installed

Summer 2023 ski area improvement projects

I saw it on SJ. I thought it was in the snow report but looks like it might have been an email blast: http://snowjournal.com/discussion/3935/ne-and-nny-closing-thread-22-23#latest I just checked the snow report and it shows this: IMPORTANT CHANGE IN UPHILL ACCESS. As of Monday, April 10th...

Summer 2023 ski area improvement projects

And looks like the "new" summit quad timeline got pushed up to this summer: We have unexpected news. Our parent company, Boyne Resorts has decided to begin a major lift installation this summer. The former Jordan Bowl Quad at Sunday River will become our new summit lift. Renovations of the lift...

Ski and snowboarding hills that are closing for the season

I think you can add Saddleback to that list as well. I was at WV yesterday and they still have a very deep and wide base and they should have no problem making it through 4/16.

    VAIL SUCKS

Yes, it's called Jericho State Park if you want to get more information. I think dirt bikes and 4wheelers can use all of the trails in the park but side by sides/UTVs are restricted to a slightly smaller subset of trails. They also have a deal worked out with the towns so you can ride off road...

Ski and snowboarding hills that are closing for the season

I drove by Ski Ward on Tuesday and can confirm the sign says "Thanks for a great season, see you in May". A little bit of a bummer since there is still very good trail coverage top to bottom but this is typically when they wrap up.

How many of you have the ski patrol phone number on your phone?

The Slopes App has a direct button to call ski patrol of whatever mountain you are recording at.

Maximum one-day vertical at east coast ski area

I have heard multiple times that the chair spacing gets all out of whack on the Polar Express at Wawa if they turn up the line speed up to what it used to be. It's been that way for several seasons now where it runs significantly slowed than it's designed speed. It's approaching 30 years old...

    VAIL SUCKS

Same thing at the Mittersill Double at Cannon a couple weeks back. That area of the mountain was dead and it was super cold and windy so I had no problem with it and it worked fine.

    The Saddleback Thread

Those are both great recommendations. The best food in town is at Loon Lake Lodge in Rangely, not far from Dallas Hill Rd which takes you to the saddleback access road. It is upscale food but the prices won't kill you. You may need to make a reservation. The Corner Bar in downtown Ragneley...

    Ski Equipment Deals near Boston

Strands is super knowledgable and will usually work with you on pricing if you see the same product listed elsewhere for less. They also generally have a nice selection of used equipment but I haven't been there in a couple seasons. It is easy to get to, right off 190. Stop by Greater Good...

    VAIL SUCKS

I am pretty sure that Wachusestt was first to open in the north east in Fall of 2020 while others were delayed with Covid concerns. They almost always have 1 to 2 WROD trails open prior to Thanksgiving if not a week or 2 prior if they get the weather.
