At least all that weird clutter will be gone. It looked like a scrap yard.

Jay Peak Thread (New owners, New Future)

They've owned powderhorn for a bit now and everyone I know there is thrilled. Day to day operations have been excellent and they've reinvested when needed.

    Time to Research Passes

The last winter I spent out there I was taking a lot of weekends and meeting friends at powderhorn. I timed it with storms and can really dig a place like that with fresh snow. All kinds of good stuff there!

I'm taking next year off at the cat but thought things were definitely better. Attitash as well, that place skis great now. Early season terrain rollout is still an issue IMO

Balsams Grand Resort teams up with ski industry legend Les Otten

Such a wasted opportunity I agree. Maybe it should have just been interesting trails vs "glades" with snowmaking.

I had this grand plan to eat a small dose of mushrooms and ski at cannon or jay but the media scared me off so I stayed home and ripped a fire out back. It was super cool and I now realize why people would go through all that to get into the proper path. Now that things are back to normal I'm...

Really shocked on that but good for you! I decided to wait till tomorrow to skis I was worried about crowds. Other places seem slightly busier than a normal Monday.

    VAIL SUCKS

It's been run better this year imo. I've been a happy customer except for December but I don't early season skiing too seriously. The bars been open and the chairs spinning. They groom nicely but leave alot of the hill alone which most people like the natural feel.

    VAIL SUCKS

The place has been skiing glorious the past month. Early season has been the issues but when it's skìng like it is currently it doesn't really matter who owns it. I'm there first thing tomorrow.

It's not like a full boat cannon pass is exactly a bargain. That's some vail bait and switch bullshit...except wildcats going for all of next week and the following weekend. I'm pretty reluctant to reup I might watch from the sidelines next winter

Ok this was what I suspected. It's a bummer but that's the downfall to being state run. It seems like whoever made that decision is completely out of touch though
