    K2 Skis

K2 often offers there skis as both a system and a flat ski. K2 owns marker bindings so they are always marker as a system. You just have a flat version that someone put a different binding. Consider yourself lucky as marker bindings are not the greatest. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone...

    Jiminy Peak MLK weekend?

I worked in management at Jiminy Peak for 6 yrs. I managed the ski shop there which is a outside vendor. John Harvards is not part of Jiminy Peak. It is part of Center Plate which is a outside vendor located on property at Jiminy. When bad weather hits the mtn they DO offer free sleeping...

    Skier speed trap hell

If everyone drives at the speedlimit tragic flows much better. Cars merge together nicely eliminating traffic jams. By everyone driving the same and constant speed you would be amazed how much faster you arrive even driving slower. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone mobile app

    Skier speed trap hell

For starters I dont give a shit if someone wants to pass me, have fun. I used to be the asshole driver flying along trying to shave 2 mins off my drive. I spent way to much $ in tickets, lawyer fees, and increased insurance. I now drive 10% over the posted speed. I get places nearly as fast...

    Skier speed trap hell

"And folks, if you insist on doing the exact speed limit with a line of cars behind you, check your speedometer. Many read high, and you're driving slow. (Drive exactly 60 for exactly 5 miles on 91 using the mile-markers. Use a stopwatch. It's on your cell phone if you don't own one. Anything...

    Stranded overnight on Gore chairlift

If this is a true claim of the "victim" my guess would be that they were skiing the glades on the north side right at closing and stopped in the woods for a long smoke. Patrol swept the area trails, the lifty then loaded in the chair and rode out. While the lifty was riding up on the North Quad...

    Ski recommendations...thinking about the Brahmas.

As others have posted, the Brahma is a but stiffer than the Kendo. I felt more confident at higher speeds on a groomer with them. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone mobile app

How Many Ski Days 2017/18 Season?

I started the first Monday Killington wad open. I work 12-close, or 8-2 midweek (7-6 weekends). Most days I ski either before or after work (we have night options) and ski every day off. I took 3 days off to go to UT. My winter life is skiing. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone mobile app

Double Sleeping Bag or Two Singles?

    Ski recommendations...thinking about the Brahmas.

Could it be you are comparing a brand new ski to a older worn in ski? The Bushwacker hasn't been made in many years. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone mobile app

How Many Ski Days 2017/18 Season?

Currently at 52 days. Not bad considering I work 6 days a week, and live 1.5 hrs to the closest mtn. There is no way I could track data like those spread sheets. Takes the fun out of it if you are just going for a #. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone mobile app

    Ski recommendations...thinking about the Brahmas.

The Bushwacker for 18/19' is simply a Brahma CA from 17/18'. That ski is a regular Brahma with no metal. The original Bushwacker is actually a tad stiffer as it has metal under foot but not to the tip and tail. Sent from my SM-G930F using AlpineZone mobile app

    Ski recommendations...thinking about the Brahmas.

I owned the Bushwacker when they first came out, 09, or 10 I think. I really liked them just found them a bit soft without metal. I started skiing the Brahma 4 yrs ago I think and loved the ski! I had 3 pairs of them and they were one of my favorite all around skis. Still turned super easy and...

Any crazy lines dropped this season so far

Hardest thing I skied this year, was not a trail, but the traverse to the run. Powder mtn got off Paradise lift and headed almost directly down under it. Had to straight line mogul field to have enough speed to go up straight chute. Then "skiing" a sharp ridge with cliffs on both sides, and...
