    Mount Snow: Inside Track

How far into April are we looking? Assuming below average temps stick around through March as forecasted. Second weekend in april? Third weekend?

Wildcat - Half day only, recommendations?

I am finding myself in the lakes region this weekend and have about 3 hours to ski. Been wanting to hit up Wildcat for years now. I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck given the limited time frame and what should be great conditions. Strong intermediate skier - what are the easier...

    Snow..coming ???

NWS now gives hunter a 29% chance of 12+ inches. and that's in town, not factoring elevation on the slopes. high bust potential, but still encouraging. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Hunter's lifts...........or lack of now!!

granted this sounds like a complete clusterfck, and I haven't been to Hunter in a couple of weeks, but there have been times this year I have been impressed with the snowmaking. MLK day skied surprisingly well after the blowtorch and downpour from earlier in the weekend - whales everywhere...

    Hunter VS Mt Snow

no signs yet of the mixed precip creeping up either - wouldn't be surprised to see Hunter claim 12 inches from the storm. I am feeling a hooky day tomorrow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Ticket Sale Limit - how many is too many for a Hunter Mtn Size mountain ???????

The trail expansion below Belt Parkway should definitely help. On the main mountain, there's simply not enough options for lower intermediates outside of Belt. Hunter One and Belt get jammed up, and trails like Minya, East Side Drive, Milky Way and Crossover are almost deserted. Give the lower...

Ticket Sale Limit - how many is too many for a Hunter Mtn Size mountain ???????

total shitshow yesterday at hunter. Broke my rule and went up on a nice warm Saturday because some friends were pushing to ski. 10-15 minute wait for the flyer all day. F lift broke down around 1030 and didn't reopen until we left at 3. Need that lift to spread out crowds. Sent from my...

Ticket Sale Limit - how many is too many for a Hunter Mtn Size mountain ???????

i think the crowding complaints at hunter are largely overblown, even for weekend warriors. The key is to be smart - If you can only ski hunter on weekends, Sunday is almost always the less crowded day. Sunday 11am-4pm is a good window. MLK day i don't think I waited more than 3 minutes for the...

    Holiday week bust???

Thanks - East peak looks interesting but it looks like the steep pitch is pretty limited? Think I may just be getting bored of hunter. Kindof jealous of those with motivation for a S VT day trip. Haven't made it up to Snow yet this year - 4 hours each way from Hudson county NJ is too much for...

    Holiday week bust???

Anyone ever try jack frost in the pokes? I'm on a peak pass for the first time this year. Also debating whether the day trip to Hunter from NJ is worth it on Sunday. Can save 30 min driving each way heading to PA, but the hill looks so tiny... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Hunter sat 12-9

I reluctantly went to Hunter on the 26th bracing for insane crowds, but I didn't wait more than 2 minutes for the flyer all day. Conditions were beautiful too - no scratchy no ice anywhere. One of the best days I've had there in awhile. Thinking of heading up on new years day. Any thoughts on...

    Hunter sat 12-9

Sunday was pretty good. About 4-6 inches of fresh snow from the day before. Snowed off and on all day. Early season is definitely done - there were a surprising number of beginners and intermediates out. Belt parkway was very crowded especially earlier afternoon. The Flyer lift managed the...

    Hunter Mtn Expansion Details

Saturday was a great day at hunter. Lapped the flyer lift all day, no lines. Hellgate was groomed really nice and minya konka had some decent bumps. Pretty impressive coverage for thanksgiving weekend. Hoping to get one more weekend without the crowds before I stay very far away until late...
