Starting to ski again after taking 20 years off...:-)

Wow, I welcome this thread. Last skied, 38 years ago. Took up snowboarding in 2014. Tried skiing again yesterday and it was a bust. I could barely snowplow and was exhausted, "skating around". I grabbed my board and dumped the rentals. How long does it take to get back to skiing? I wasn't great...

    Sugarbush Newbie - Here Now!

ME saved the day. We started at 8 AM at LP and quickly, the lines started. Super Bravo shut down due to wind. It was strong! Quickly, Gate House Express jammed up. The lines were incredible and empty chairs kept going up. Some chairs and 2 people. It was so inefficient. After barely moving for...

    Sugarbush Newbie - Here Now!

Thanks all...we did the Mad Marathon and LOVED Waitsfield/Warren. Mad Taco was good but disgustingly dirty (loo smelled like and outhouse)...will try some of these finds. We are staying Snowside Condos, I think, on Mountainside Road? Number 205. We are looking out and can see trails but there...

Best Discounts For Family Skiing (Passes And/Or Lessons) Near Boston?

I second Ragged Mountain or check out Pat's Peak. Super chill, family-oriented mountain, both, really close. I learned at Crotched and love it. Pass on Wachusett (too crowded) and expand beyond Nashoba. If there is a pass that allows you to ski Gunstock, Ragged, Crotched and Pat's, grab it. Let...

where are we going this weekend?

I am slated to go to K'ton Sat. to board, Sunday. Not feeling it so much considering it will be 40's and gloomy. I'd rather board in sunny warmer conditions, end of April. Will continue to watch the weather.

    Skier speed trap hell

Right outside Woodstock, 12:25 AM, heading to K'Ton, foggy night, $185 ticket for 35 in 25 zone. I disputed it because radar equipment is flawed in fog. No luck https://www.speedtrap.org/vermont/woodstock/
