EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

I watched it. The driver... what? Lost control of his foot? Had the car on auto drive?

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

I just got back. Paid 3.55 in NJ, 3.74 in NY. Could be the places I choose, or the places that are on my way.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

Hybrids often have a lower gear you can use that really slows the car down and super charges the battery. Works really well, slowing the car down and almost eliminating any chance that your wheels will break free in snowy conditions.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

Once the autos started beating the sticks for MPG, I gave up my stick.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

Agree. I'm not getting 500, but 400 and something. I can go from home to the Catskills and back on one tank. I don't really do that often but it allows me to buy all my gas in cheaper NJ.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

I am wondering about lifespan of the battery, not the amount of range out of one charge. It will be garage kept, just not sure how much I want to put into heating the garage.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

There is no question that being on the cutting edge, as a customer, is risky and expensive. I bought a hybrid because generally I go for technology that is one generation behind.

I assumed I was dodging all responsibility by adding a question mark at the end. 🤠

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

I was actually wondering about the lifespan of the battery over years. I said I wouldn't buy an EV for the mountains, but that is not totally true. This may be in my future: https://www.polaris.com/en-us/off-road/ranger/models/ranger-xp-kinetic/ It will be in a garage, but I was wondering if...

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

From what I've seen with my hybrid, I'm thinking EVs probably don't make sense for life in the mountains. Especially without a heated garage. I'm selling my hybrid when we move to the adk. Does storing an ev below freezing reduce the lifespan of a battery? We are looking at an electric UTV...

IMO = perfect use of EVs.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

I don't agree the weight is moot. We are moving to the mountains full time in the next twelve months. I'll be selling my (Honda CRV) hybrid and replacing it with an ICE. Ideally a Toyota Stout or a small pickup with awd. The hybrid is awesome in the warmer months in the suburbs. I'm...

    Sub-$50 lift ticket possible?

What are the lowest cost tickets in VT? Are we talking one day walk up?

    Sub-$50 lift ticket possible?

I'm saying that some of the smaller family-owned hills (in NY) are now above $50, and I'm 100% willing to pay that at say Snow Ridge.

    Sub-$50 lift ticket possible?

    $65 is the new $50.
