    Snowmobiling locations?

Maybe not skiing / boarding related, but it's still snow-related, so I'll give this a shot. Friends of mine located in Central Massachusetts want to try out snow-mobiling and asked me for recommendations of places to go that rent snow-mobiles, provide tours, etc. Any recommendations? This is...

    Stowe, November 23

Spent the morning of Nov. 23rd at Stowe for my first day back on snow. there is no snow to speak of until you pass the Matterhorn bar and start up the hill; there's a substantial amount of snow on the hill, although certainly not enough left to go off an open trail. (And probably nothing...

    Attitash -- Jan. 19th

Met up with Cheese and some of his family at Attitash today. They had gotten about 2" overnight. First couple runs were off the high-speed on the Attitash side. Even when we got on the lift at 8:45 or so there was already people-dodging going on, but we found a few spots that allowed us to...

    Cannon -- 01/06/08

I skied at Cannon today. I think today was the first time I was ever actually warm at Cannon in January -- the base area easily warmed up into the low 40s. Conditions were very spring-like. Zoomer trail is all bumped up, with big-snow making whales on skier's left of the main trail. Zoomer...

FYI: Cannon January 14th and 15th

I was at Cannon, NH today. They had some signs up in the base lodge saying that the haul cable on the express quad will be replaced / re-spliced on the 14th and 15th. So obviously that chair won't be running those days, meaning the only way up the mountain will be the tram.

I-93 closure on New Year's Day

Did anybody else get stuck when I-93 got closed for about 1.5 hours on New Year's Day? I had skied Cannon for a few hours in the morning ,and then the snow started falling earlier (and much harder) then I expected, so I decided to try to get home. Somewhere between exits 24 and 23 (just south...
