    Jay Peak vs. Sugarbush?

Trouble with Sugarbush is there is never any snow! Made the turn on Murphy's, last March and saw the pic from October. The pic from March 29: And from October:

    Learning to Ski (2013-2014)

On one hand, it isn't a good idea to go to a big hill to learn. You just won't be able to take advantage of most of it. You'll spend most of the first few days on the bunny hill. On the other... Heard about Sugarbush's first time to lifetime program? It is for never-evers. Take 3 beginner...

    2010 Disabled List

Wow Greg! Sorry to hear of this. I had a hernia when I first moved up. (Think I got it while moving.) We tried the orthoscopic the next April. (After ski season.) Didn't work. Did the real surgery the next April. (Dr knew I was a ski bum.) He was happy with it, but, altho none of...

The Most Important Resort Improvement for the Summer of 2010

The latest base development is not a real estate winner. It is improving facilities. There are no condos in it. Just an improvement in guest services. As for being in the back of the pack, I'd say... Which pack? I ask people how their day was, throughout the season. Almost always the...

    Sugarbush questions

The terrain park at Lincoln Peak is really only a couple rails and a big Cabot wheel. The main park is over at North, which closed, yesterday. On the other side... we do have terrain. ;-) Pretty sure that neither Good Friday nor Easter is a holiday, for prices. Doubt it is for hours, either.

    server moving slow today?

Timed out twice, this morning. Then moved quickly, this time, including hitting the reply button. SkiMRV has also been a hit-or-miss thing, the last week, or so, but seems ok, today... so far. :spin:

    What's up with Ski MRV

Was able to get on tonight for the first time since Friday morning. Wasn't able to say it here because I wasn't able to get here, either. :flame: I did a whois search on SkiMRV.com and got an IP. Plugging that into the address window got me to the Alpine Zone front page. (Not the forum)...

    What's up with Ski MRV

As noted above, I already did that. I went to their home page and clicked on Support. They did mention that they were on the last of the lists to get the DNS info, behind the Verizons and Comcasts. Not sure how quickly the numbers are migrated within an IP, but I connect to a different...

    What's up with Ski MRV

Well, just got back from my show, at the radio station. Was not able to get to the server from there. (Also GMAVT) Couldn't post about it here, because I wasn't able to get here, either. Back at home, both work.

    What's up with Ski MRV

If anyone is still not on, over there, you might try this, from Greg, up above: And by command prompt, hit Start and choose Run. Then type (paste) the code in. Doubt that it will work, as DNS is the map. It is either there or not. Still, computers do strange things. ("No!!!", you say. :-P...

    What's up with Ski MRV

Are you now on, noski? Anyone else not able to get on? If so, who is your provider? Traffic has seemed to pick up, over there. But it is not a working situation to say "If it doesn't work for you, post it on that board."

    What's up with Ski MRV

Sent an email to GMAVT, with the comment by Greg, above, about it possibly being the provider. Got a response from them, today. They said that with a change of servers, it might take about a week for the DNS info to be distributed. They also said that they, being a small customer, would be...

    What's up with Ski MRV

I'm using the URL I've always used. It is the one at the bottom of my post. It is working (for me) now. When I get the Server Not Found error, it doesn't. The only thing I do between it working and not working is a browser refresh. (Most refreshes did nothing, when it is down.)

    What's up with Ski MRV

No response from GMAVT, yet, but this morning, the site came alive. Darn few posts in the last few days. (Although, in fairness our posting normally drops considerably on weekends... cause they're out skiing? :spread:)

    What's up with Ski MRV

Tried that. No change. Email sent. Of course, there is the question of how it was down, then up, then down, then up and has been down, now for over a day. It would seeem a bad DNS would have been bad since the change?:-?

    What's up with Ski MRV

There is something wrong with that server, or the route to it. The site that BMM listed says it is just me, but many others tell me it is just them, too. I saw it as now it does work; Now it doesn't, but it hasn't for at least two days, now.
