    The "Sugarbush Thread"

With sat weather forcast sunny and 50, what are the chances they find a band to play in the plaza? Used to happen. Would think the extra beer sales would more than cover the cost.

steins was sooooo nice today. Glad they didn't groom it. Then I would have had to start forming bumps for the weekend crew which would have been far less fun😉

I figured there would be a diag in the act 250 but have not dug into that. Thanks for doing the homework CD. I had a day just like Win describes this year. Bravo was hell with wind right at you. Was a bit afraid to get on HG, but was completely calm up there. Wind does strangs things in...

Looks like the cut some of the towers to dismantle. Isn't it standard to blast the high point (near OG) and use the debris to fill in the low point (at HG unload) when leveling things out. So HG unload would be slightly higher as CD indicated and the hill slightly lower. Have seen Tatro...

    Eclipse PSA

Kept looking at google maps and 89 was solid red. Around 9:00 said screw it, I'll take my chances in the AM, and watched the basketball game. So glad I did that. Left sugarbush at 7AM, no traffic at all.

Just reading this now from an out west trip. Totally BS in so many ways. They gotta keep Mt Ellen open longer if they are going to to pull this shit at lincoln.

    PSA: 2024-2025 Ikon Renewal

I'm on the positive side. 70-80 days total and am lucky enough to have 20 or so of those out west. Jackson this week, copper next and aspen after that. all included on about what I paid for just sugarbush before. (Yes, I know, rough life)

Today I plan to put on all the apparel I bought during the summer, estimate how much weight I need to lose, and start conditioning

Stopped drinking soda in my 30s. Polar seltzer was the key for me. Still get the bubbles and a bit of flavor without any of the nasty stuff. Now I'm old and the bubbles cause other issues so water for me. Except the beer and wine, but you gotta enjoy something🍻🥂

So sad. He once used his phone to take pics of us then gave us his phone to send the pics to our email and forgot his phone. When leaving, I handed the phone to the waitress and she said, he leaves that everywhere. RIP Henri. You made for many special times.

Don't know the details of pumping infrastructure at ME. But I'm pretty certain there are some contractual agreements to get GMVS terrain open early. I heard last year's early weather and that requirement delayed opening of sunnyside Q terrain quite a bit. Was an issue for VT Adaptive programs...

NL is an interesting one. If they ever went throught with a lodge on that plateau I could see them wanting a bigger lift and expanded trail network. I hate to think of what we lose from that. Permitting would be tough. Actually, NL being down and hike to has a lot of advantages IMHO. As for...

From VR "Sugarbush representative Margo Wade, the resort’s director of planning and compliance, reported that resort parent company Alterra is funding two new lifts next summer. LiftBlog Reports that Smuggs and Stowe are Exploring an Interconnect Gondola

Smuggs looks to be just over 2 hours from Montreal. Stowe in the winter looks to be at least 20 min longer via 89 to 100. That's a big market pretty close that might be able to be further tapped into.
