I like the whole giveaway thing going on here lately. I can't use this, so please don't enter me.

Pat's is really a great little commuter hill: well run, family owned, with exceptional snowmaking and perhaps the best beer league nastar league in the nation. It's not likely to wow someone used to a bigger resort... but they understand their market and hill and do a great job with what they have. It's really awesome to have a bump run like Hurricane and the steeps of FIS for a smaller hill, really sets them apart from other competitors like Crotched.

A great promo and glad to see people excited for it, even if I can't win ;)

Gotta agree big time here. I was one of those skeptics who first tried it in 2004 when I was living in Boston. I had been a passholder at bigger places up north, but just graduated from college and didn't have the money or time to go far north. Tried Pats on a whim and because of a coupon from the RSNE card. I remember getting off of 89 and seeing it in the distance. My thoughts were, "wow, that looks like a nice place and good sized for 710 vertical feet." Well, I became a passholder and went there a lot in 2004 and in 2004-2005. Great little hill with awesome snowmaking, great vibe, fun terrain, great management and ownership, and great night skiing. The management listens (even if they don't want to regroom before night skiing ;) ). Every year they improve the place, but not over the top. And in a good snow year or after a good storm, some of the stuff off the top, in particular Peak or Vortex Liftlines, are legit expert stuff. You owe yourself to try it.

Just realized I need 48 posts to get another entry...

BTW I'm seeing a few entries that are the first post. Maybe for the next contest the rules need to be updated to include a nominal minimum post count. Just saying...
