I've started checking the date of news sources that get posted here before I read the story.

This snow is on the Riemergasse trail aka the terrain park. They flattened the park and blowing snow for GMVS training.

Nice, I was thinking that or lower Inverness using the new guns they installed.

I mean, seriously, if it is cold enough, they either cancel a lot of stuff or they make snow.

Loon, Jay, and Saddleback may not have the big spring events later on, or the reservations, but they want the skier visits and who can blame them. EVERYONE is in the red on skier visits. Heck, it's so bad at Killington, the Brits who typically go there will have to go somewhere else unless K start blowing snow like nobody's business, which doesn't seem likely.
    From Jay's Facebook page
Jay Peak Resort Kevin, it's more about longer term profits. The better question is, what's it worth to keep your most core (Season Pass holders) happy. They spend a good portion of their winter here for a reason and they deserve it.
I think that sums it all up nicely!

Does anyone know if Killington is going to make snow this week. I think they have to if they want to hold their june 1st fun slalom.

    Who's planning on entering?

so let's see, if you bought a lift ticket probably at a discounted price or had a season pass and you completed the course you got a lift ticket good for next season. not a bad deal.

    brings back memories.

never entered any of those late season things but memorial day skiing was always much anticipated.
