so whose making snow this week ...

so far the boyne resorts - sunday river, loon & sugarloaf - and jay are in. no coincidence that it's the resorts with currently the most open terrain. and even if it's show snow, it's a great way to market next season's passes by showing commitment to their customers. kudos.

I'm happy for those of you that live near these places, but at a 7-8 hour drive according to Google, it's easier to go to Utah. For that type of time, I'd expect epic conditions. Stick a fork in this season for me.

I understand this. Utah is going to get good snow the first week of April.

We are slated to get some early this coming week. It's not over yet! The Park City resorts are set to close April 15th. Canyons looked pretty thin today.

And it is great to see Jay, SR, SL, and Loon pushing the envelope. Too bad Sugarbush is not following suit.

Any snow making in New England this week is to patch and extend the life of the limited terrain that is still open. Temps are marginal for snow making. A few optimistic colder nights mixed with 40's for daily temps. Can't fault any mountain for ending the season after this weekend.

Highs will be close to freezing Mon and Tue in the mts...lows will be single digits to low 10s sun-tue nights. Much better than marginal.

Rumor at Loon is not only are the going to make snow but they are also going to be hauling snow from South Peak to the main base. They have a big group coming that need accommodate.

But considering that it poured here in Lincoln all day it'll take miracle to move what little is left.
The good times are killing me
