Nice opening to striped bass season in NY

39 keepers up to 26lbs in just a few hours then we lost the tide. All fish caught on jigs. Nice how the fishing season mixes with skiing season. Next week back to skiing for the last hurrah.

My family owns/runs a party boat fishing the NY Bight area. Most other states striped bass fishing is open year round but in NY we have to wait till April 15 before we are allowed to keep any.

A couple more pics from yesterday.
