Summer skiing in AK. Beta?

So I'm going to be spending a huge chunk of this summer working in AK. I'm exploring the summer skiing options. Heli-trips are certainly available and I may do some. But I'm also looking for cheaper options. I have connections there and am tracking down info through those channels and other web forums dedicated to AK. But thought I'd also throw out the question here in case anybody has had any experience with tours, shops, specific BC routes, access, options, etc.

Yeah, you can say that. I'm on a research project off the north coast. It runs from July to October-ish. So early part will be good...late part not so much. Was in Anchorage last week. Found time to drink beers under the midnight sun on the solstice, but no time to make turns. Hoping to change that on the next trip.

They had a BIG winter. There is way more snow and ice than I've seen before at this time of year.

My brother was up there this winter since his daughter is stationed at the air base in Anchorage. He really like Aleyska. Make sure you get some some pics.

Spent a summer in AK working at a cannery. The super long days were amazing to me.

There's a significant wet slab avalanche risk on anything with much pitch to it. There's a reason why summer glacier skiing around the world tends to be on intermediate slopes. I certainly don't have the skills to assess the risk so I'd be keeping it to less than 30 degrees. It's not like in the winter when you can dig a pit looking for consolidation and layers. If you have flowing water under it, it acts as a lubricant and the whole thing can let go. I imagine the locals have enough experience to know what tends to be stable and what doesn't but I'd still be cautious about anything steep.
