I have had Sugarbush ME to myself once or twice, at least for part of a day. Other days I have been out there and there havent been more than 2 or 3 other people.
Hunter on a brutal day.....it was incredibly windy, so the quad was closed. I didn't see anyone else, other than a ski patroller for two runs, until the wind died down.

I've had my eye on Magic for a couple years now, as a hidden gem. The problem with keeping it TOO quiet it that destins it for a financial train wreck, which they've had a few. there is a fine balance here between too much and too little. perhaps an AZ-only day would suffice?
I'll never forget our days at Saddleback. minus 20 at 8am warming all the way up to minus five and windy. Lord was it cold. No matter how hard you worked the bumps, it never quite warmed you up enough. 2 runs, then a re-heat. But did I mention, there must have been eight other fools like us on the entire mountain.
I have had some nights at Shawnee Peak where I was the only person left skiing toward the end of the evening. Pretty cool, you can rip any trail you want and not worry about people in front of you!
skiing is not just an activity, it is a lifestyle!
I have been the one and only skier/boarder several times at Magic, several times before sweep. It's a bit of an odd feeling.
Nice picture of Sorcerer, Greg
I've had a solitary tram ride at Cannon on a day where it was 30-something below at the top. There weren't many other people on the mountain that day, but there were a few other people braving the cold.
I did a Washington DC Ski Club trip (back when I lived down there) to Panorama, British Columbia one year. There was a day where I honestly think the only people on that mountain were other SCWDC members. At least, I didn't see anybody I didn't know.
I've skied at Big Sky, Montana without ever having to even remotely wait in a lift line -- just get right on. Absolutely nobody in sight anywhere (except for my buddy that I was on the lift with). That was eerie!
Arc \'em or park \'em
On Easter 4-6 Years ago (whenever that really snowy winter was) My sister and I had Ascutney completely to ourselves. It was about 50 degrees and every trail, including the glades were open. The only other people on the mountain were the owner and 2 ski patrollers. It was probably one of the best days of skiing I've ever head. Nothing like being able to carve huge GS turns on any trail of the mountain on nice soft snow!
Early season at Cannon last year on a twofer day it took my mom around 45 mins to find someone to get a ticket with. There were only 4 tickets sold that day. The Holderness ski team was training in the morning but after they left the place was deserted.
back in the ski club days we went to Broomley, and it rained shortly after we got there, adn then turned to bright blue sky, and of course we couldnt leave, so we stuck it out, and nobody else came, ended up being a little better then a good day of spring skiing, and we had the entier mountain to ourselves. you would ride the lift and know EVERYBODY that you saw on the mountain.. it was AWSOME!!! even if the snow wasn't perfect.. the expecience was cool
